Carl A. Feaganes, age 66, of Carleton, passed away at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Born August 11, 1956 in Monroe, Carl was one of eight children born to the late James and Elizabeth (Hospodar) Feaganes.  Carl attended Airport High School and graduated with the class of 1974. After high school, he went on to earn his living as a Skilled Tradesman for DTE Energy. In 1982 He married Sandra Minney and together they raised their combined seven children.

Carl was a giving, kind, and thoughtful man. He made a huge impact in the lives of so many. To some he was a father, to some a grandfather, to others a teacher and to some a friend. Carl enjoyed working on cars and had a passion for buying, fixing, and selling them. He was a master of many skills. Carl also enjoyed deer hunting. He loved and cherished the times he spent with his family, and he will be truly missed by each and every one of them.

To cherish his memory, Carl leaves his loving wife of 40 years, Sandra; two sons: Donald (Hollie) Feaganes and John (Michelle) Feaganes; two stepsons: Todd (Dawn) Herrera and Chris (Carrie) Herrera; two stepdaughters: Lisa and Lori Herrera; three brothers: James (Rocky) Feaganes, Chris (Laurie) Feaganes and Tim (Lisa Tokarz) Feaganes; two sisters: Roseanne Bellner and Loretta Foster; 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and his baby chihuahua, Taco.

In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by a stepson, Marc Herrera, a brother, Leo Feaganes and an infant sister, Elizabeth.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Rupp Funeral Home from 2 until 5:30 pm when a memorial service will take place in Carl’s honor.
