Burton Campbell, age 79 of Monroe, passed away the morning of Thursday November 9, 2023 in the comfort of his own home.

Burton was born October 9, 1944 in Tazewell, TN to the late Tilman Burton Campbell and Helen Williams. Upon graduation from high school, Burton began a long and prosperous career at the Ford Motor Company, retiring as a Die Setter after 41 years of dedication to the company. He would go on to meet and marry the love of his life, Katherine Henrich, on November 21, 1964. Along with being a proud autoworker, Burton was also an ordained minister, officiating many of his grandchildren’s weddings.

In his spare time, Burton could be found in the woods, on the water, or bowling with friends. Burton and Kathie loved taking many road trips, especially up north and to Mackinac to see their favorite bridge. They also loved spending time with their lifelong friends. Above all else, Burton loved spending time with his family and friends, particularly all his loving grandkids and great grandkids.

To cherish his memory, Burton leaves his loving wife, Katherine; son, Jeffery (Pamela) Campbell; two daughters: Julie (Rick) Stewart and Jennifer (Paul) Raudsepp; seven grandchildren: Savannah (Lee) Wilder, Shelece (Jay) Churchill, Skylar (Maxwell) Sindone, Mark (Cassandra) Hilliker, Tilman (Cheyanne) Hilliker, Chloe (Jon) Dushane, and McKenna (Clayton) Hall; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Burton is also preceded in death by his sister, Lorrain Wood, and grandson, Matthew Hilliker.

Family and friends are welcome to visit from 1-8pm on Sunday November 12, 2023 at Rupp Funeral Home. A private service and entombment will occur at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. Rev. Matt Slater, Lead Pastor from Monroe Nazarene Church, will officiate.
