Bonnie Jondro Obituary

Bonnie Mae Jondro

August 26, 1955 – June 16, 2024

Bonnie Mae Jondro, age 68, of Monroe, was welcomed home on Sunday evening.

Bonnie was born on August 26, 1955, to Kenneth and MaryAnn (Knabusch) Weyher. She was one of 5 children. Bonnie attended Monroe High School where she earned her High School Diploma.

In 1975, Bonnie met the love of her life – Warren G. Jondro. The couple got married on September 10, 1977, in Maybee, Michigan. Bonnie and Warren went on to have 2 children, Pamela and Gregory. Prior to starting a family, she was employed at Monroe Auto Equipment as a Travel Incentive Manager. She left the company in 1991 to care for her children full-time. Later, Bonnie began employment with Knabusch Insurance Services, Inc. as a Customer Service Representative. Sadly, she retired in 2017 due to her illness.

Bonnie was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maybee, and held the position of recording secretary and was an active member of the church council. For many years, she played women’s recreation softball for the Monroe Auto Equipment and Ray’s Meats teams. Bonnie liked crafting and took pride in decorating her home. She always looked forward to planning and enjoying family vacations to Disney World, especially with her 2 grandchildren. Bonnie was well known for her persuasive ability to get things done in all aspects of her life.

To cherish her memory, Bonnie leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Warren Jondro. She also leaves her two children, Pamela (Larry) Dorow of Newport and Gregory (Charity Kelly) Jondro of Monroe; two brothers, Randy (Cindy) Weyher of Maybee and Clifford (Roxanne) Weyher of Maybee; one sister, Linda (Harry) Chappell of Toledo; and two beloved grandchildren, Landen and Logan Dorow.

Bonnie was sadly preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and MaryAnn Weyher; brother, Mark Weyher; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and MaryAnn Jondro; and a step-mother Germaine (Reed) Jondro.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Rupp Funeral Home, which will take place from 1 PM to 8 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024. She will lie In State at 10 AM, with a service to follow at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maybee, Michigan on Saturday, June 22, 2024.
