Robert John Reppe
April 22, 1960 – November 9, 2025
Robert John Reppe, age 65, of La Salle, was called home to heaven on November 9, 2025.
Bob was born April 22, 1960 in Monroe, Michigan to John and Ilma (Armstrong) Reppe. He was one of six children. Bob attended, ran cross country and graduated from Ida High School with the class of 1978. As a young man Bob helped his grandfather farm the family land and started his first truck driving job at the age of 19 delivering milk and ice cream for the Independent Dairy. He then was an owner operator truck driver hauling steel until the age of 65, when he was forced to retire due to cancer. Bob was also the owner/operator of EB Cycles in Monroe for ten years.
In 1999 He became a father to his only child Wyatt Reppe. In August of 2021 he met the love of his life Sonya (Geiermann) Reppe, and six weeks later they married. They loved and lived life together to its fullest. Spending the last few years being snowbirds in southern Florida and is where they did most of their riding together.
Bob was a member of Mount Zion Global Methodist Church, a member of Mount Zion Men’s group, and a real prayer warrior. After he became ill, his greatest hope was to let his friends see him as a light in the midst of his storm, to come and meet our Lord if they hadn’t already! He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; He had some of the best of them! Get togethers at the farm were a regular thing and always a time to remember.
Bob leaves his wife Sonya Reppe, his son Wyatt Reppe, brother Kenneth Reppe, three sisters, Brenda (Gary) Swathell, Kathy (Dave) Hartwig and Lisa (Jim) Zitek; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Ilma Reppe, father John Reppe, a sister Cheryl Kamprath, and a nephew Dominic Reppe.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 2 to 8 pm at Rupp Funeral Home. Service will be held the following morning on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Mount Zion Global Methodist Church, 1607 Yargerville Road in La Salle at 11 am with a luncheon in the hall following service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Oaks of Righteousness 1018 E Second St. Monroe, MI 48161, or to Mount Zion Men’s group for future Promise Park projects.
