Bernice Ivey, age 86 of Sylvania, OH, passed away the evening of Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Arbors of Sylvania Assisted Living Facility.

Born April 7, 1935 in Maynardville, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Martha (Robinson) Braden. When she was still in school, the family moved to the Monroe area.

Bernice married the love of her life: Harrison Ivey. Sadly, he passed away in 2010. She made her living working at Continental Security. She was a security guard for over 20 years before retiring.  In Bernice’s free time, she enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Mother of Martha Kay Feller, Willie Mae (Tracy) Clark, and Eula Faye Nickel. Grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Sister of Linda Robinson and Opal Webb.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by two sons: Arnold “Pete” Keller and Andy Lynn Keller, and 13 siblings.

Everyone is invited to a visitation on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday starting at 2:00 pm. Officiating is BJ McDaniel. Burial will follow immediately to Roselawn Memorial Park.
