Benoit H. Moyer
August 31, 1941 – February 24, 2021
Benoit Henry Moyer, 79 of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his home under hospice care surrounded by family.
Born August 31, 1941 in Monroe, he was one of fifteen children to the late Veryl and Martha (Bogedien) Moyer. Ben was baptized at Gracepoint Church of Monroe. He made his living as a laborer working in construction for 26 years.
In his free time, you could find Ben playing cards, dice, 7-Up, and watching western shows. He loved to joke around and have a good time. He enjoyed going to Sterling State Park with family and friends going swimming and enjoying each other’s company.
Ben will be remembered for being a great dad and loving grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
To cherish his memory, Benoit sadly leaves behind his daughter, Lori Rudd; six grandchildren, Suzann Bashaw, Samantha Braden, Joann Bush, Jeanette Braden, Michael (Cathy) Walker, and Andy Bashaw; five great grandchildren, Payton, Julianna, Rodney, Anthony, and Kendra; one brother, Herman (Nancy) Moyer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Veryl and Martha Moyer; siblings, Helen Rankin, Vearl Moyer, Magadine Moyer, Joann Moyer, and Henry Moyer
Family and friends may visit Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 1:00 till 8:00 pm at Rupp Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the following day on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home beginning at 2 pm, with Pastor Andrew and Andrea Leaman officiating. Per the families wishes, cremation will take place following the funeral service.
