Bennie Jo Morris, age 88, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Born May 8, 1936 in Harrogate, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ishmal and Naomi (Rowlett) Crockett. She first married Hubert Sandifer and together they raised three children. She would later go on to marry Thomas Morris and made a home with him until his passing in 2008. She earned her living working for Ford Motor Company for twelve years.

 Bennie Jo was a hard-working woman who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Spending time with her family meant the world to her. She could often be found outdoors, gardening. She also loved to travel. Bennie Jo was able to see special places here in the United States and many other countries.  She will be truly missed by all that loved and knew her.

Beloved mother of Joann Mack Babash and Brenda (Michael) Kidd. Grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 11 and sister of, David Crockett and Kathleen (Clarence) Ballew.

Bennie Jo is preceded in death by a son, Marvin Sandifur, 2 sisters, Murial Moreau and Gannell Noah and 3 brothers, Earl, Dillard and Troy Crockett. 

Family and friends may visit on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Rupp Funeral Home from 10 am until 1 pm. A funeral service will take place at Rupp at 1 pm with Rev, Larry Detruf officiating. Bennie Jo will be laid to rest directly after the service at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.
