Arlene D. Yost

Arlene Dianne Yost, age 77 of Newport, passed away peacefully on Valentines on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at home under hospice care.
Born July 15, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. She was one of two children of Gus and Margaret (Nemeth) Hoppe. Dianne graduated from Monroe High School in 1972. After school, she went to work at Mercy Memorial Hospital of Monroe, where she worked in the cafeteria for many years before retiring.
Dianne's first marriage was to Robert Kreager, on December 23, 1957 at St. Michael Episcopal Church in Lincoln Park, MI. Her second marriage was to Robert Yost on September 1, 1978 at Grace Lutheran Church of Monroe. They spent over 22 years together before his passing in 2000.
Dianne was a long-time member at Grace Lutheran Church since 1975. She also served in their Ladies Society. She was also a past member of Weight Watchers Company as a Leader. Dianne was a great cook and baker. She was known for her homemade foods, including her made from scratch pies.
Most importantly, she liked spending her quality time with family. Dianne will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
Beloved mother of Denise Kreager and Robert (Delane) Kreager. Loving grandmother of Aaron (Michelle) Halstead, Ashley Kreager, Michael (Ashley) Harris Sr., Tiffani Harris, and Trevor (Amanda) Kreager. Great grandmother of Adriaunna Moore, Jonathan Leffew, Shyanne Leffew, Brandon Tripplet, Jr., Gracelyn Harris, Alexa Maynor, Rachel Harris, Michael Harris Jr. K’leigh hackney, and Miyka Forshee. Also survived by first husband: Robert (Arlene) Kreager.
Preceded in death by his parents: Margaret and John Givens, father: Gus (Vi) Hoppe, spouse: Robert Yost, infant brother: Gustav Hoppe, and grandchildren: Robert and Briana Kreager.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Dianne are suggested towards Grace Lutheran Church of Monroe.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church. Dianne will lie instate at 10:00 am with a funeral service starting at 11:00 am. Officiating is Pastor Mark Witte. Burial will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park.
