Ardith Marie Goins, age 81 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Fountainview of Monroe Nursing Home.

Born October 29, 1939, in Stockbridge, MI. She was one of eight children of the late James and Bertha (Coleman) Hodge. After school, she met and married her first husband: Steve Cooper. They were happily together for over 20 years before his passing. Later, she met and married her second husband: Jim Goins. They were together for about five years before sadly Jim also passed away.

Ardith was a loving homemaker who raised her two children. She was a long-time member at Monroe Full Gospel Church. Most importantly, she loved spending her free time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Beloved mother of Christopher (Dawn Nixon) Cooper. Loving grandmother of Kiara Goins - Dunlap, Larissa Cooper, Karina Cooper, Christopher Cooper, Davonte & Mercedes Charlot-Goins, and Frank Esparza. Great-grandmother of two great grandchildren. Dear sister of Sandra Small and Bertha (Paul) Small. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ardith was preceded in death by husbands: Steve Cooper and Jim Goins; daughter: Jamie Goins; and siblings: Mildred Barbour, Dorothy Cooper, Susan Blakesley, Kathy Colon, and an infant brother: James Hodge.
