Annie Laura DeNoewer, age 64 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Born August 14, 1961, in Monroe. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Loretta (Clark) McMillian. Annie attended Monroe County Schools.

In 1990, she married the love of her life, James DeNoewer. They were together long before they got married but in 1996, he sadly passed away.  Annie was known for her giant personality and loved to have a good time with friends and family. She absolutely loved being a grandma and enjoyed spending quality time with them. They were her world to spoil and cherish. Annie had a big heart, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved mother of Jacob (Kathryn) Ellison and Jared (Tia Moore) DeNoewer. Loving grandmother of Dylan (Kait) Gibson, Jlyn DeNoewer, Nicholas Owens, Elizabeth Ellison, Drake Ellison, Bailey Ellison, AnnaBelle Gordon, and Damien Gordon. Great grandmother of Scotty and Finn. Dear sister of Robin Sanderson.

In addition to her parents, Annie was preceded in death by husband, James DeNoewer; son, Joseph Ellison; siblings, Joyce, Peter, Roger, and Sue, as well as, Harry Pope Ellison, father of Jacob and Joseph Ellison.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 1 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home, starting at 12 noon. Officiating is Rev. Danny Bruce. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation will conclude services.
