Andrew Pinchoff Jr.

Andrew Pinchoff Jr., age 85 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, December 28, 2020.
Born October 18, 1935 in Monroe. He was one of eight children of the late Andrew Sr. and Daisy (Remsier) Pinchoff. Andy is a graduate of Monroe High School. He later proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1964. He spent his four years during the end of the Korean War but was not in combat.
Andy met and married the love of his life: Carol Schmidtling. They got married in 1957 at a Lutheran Church in Monroe. They raised a family of two children and spent over 63 wonderful years together.
Andy worked for the city of Monroe as the Director Head of the computer department for over 42 years before retiring.
Andy was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church of Monroe. He was a proud veteran, and was also a member of the VFW Post 1138 in Monroe for over 30 years. When he was younger, he used to be involved in the Rod and Gun Club. Lastly, he was the head of the Pension Program for retirees for about five years.
In his free time, you could find Andy playing a good game of golf. He even got a hole in one not too long ago. Andy also enjoyed meeting up with his friends over coffee and sweets.
Most importantly, Andy enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He will always be known as a great man and amazing father to his kids. Everyone who met him, fell in love with him. Andy will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.
Beloved husband of Carol Pinchoff. Loving father of Cathy (Charles) Chambers and Bob Pinchoff. Dearest grandfather of Virginia, Nathan, Michael, Toni, and Nik. Great-grandfather of Caleb, Evalet, Shane, Carli, Emma, and Giovanni. Dear brother of Irene Kelly.
Preceded in death by his parents: Andrew Sr. and Daisy Pinchoff, brothers: Sonny, Richard, Dean, Danny, and Edward Pinchoff, and one sister: Tootise.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home from 1:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Rupp Funeral Home starting at 11 AM. Officiating is Pastor Ross Ulrich. Burial will follow immediately to Roselawn Memorial Park where military honors will take place.
Memorial donations in honor of Andy are suggested to the VFW Post 1138 of Monroe.
