Alma Ann Czarnik
April 11, 1941 – September 17, 2024
Alma "Ann" Czarnik, age 83, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 11, 1941 in Monroe, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Helen (Vashaw) Mack. Ann attended and graduated from Monroe High School. On October 22, 1960, Ann married Chester A. Czarnik and together they raised four children. Sadly, Chester had preceded her in death. Ann worked for many years in the retail industry and ended her career working for Meijer for 19 years. She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee.
Ann cherished her family and close friends to her core, she never liked being too far from anyone. She would be there to help care for, show love, and provide stability to her family when in need. Becoming a grandma was a pride she took very seriously. Ann rarely ever missed a recital, sporting event, or milestone in any of her loved one’s lives. She was an illustration of strength and determination for those who knew her as she navigated her way through every hardship that life bestowed upon her.
To cherish her memory, Ann leaves three children, Michael (Tina) Czarnik, Scott (Alicia) Czarnik and Tammy (Steve) Aldrich. She also leaves twelve loving grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Rosemary LaBeau.
Ann was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Cuykendall, a granddaughter, Gracie Czarnik and a brother, Charles Mack.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 2 until 8 pm at Rupp Funeral Home. Ann will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee, on Tuesday, September 24, at 10 am. A funeral mass will take place at 11 am with Father Mike Woroniewicz officiating. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle.
