Albert W. Massingo Jr.
March 26, 1949 – July 4, 2025
Albert William Massingo Jr., age 76 of Monroe, passed away in the morning of Friday, July 4, 2025, at the ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe.
Born March 26, 1949 in Monroe. He was the son of the late Albert Sr. and Helen (Wylie) Massingo. Al graduated from Monroe High School in 1966.
Al met the love of his life as a student at Monroe High, Sandra Kay Langford and became high school sweethearts. A year later, they got married on November 25, 1967 in Monroe. Together they had a family of two sons. Al and Sandy did everything together; in their younger years they enjoyed riding on Al’s Harley Motorcycle and going boating. They also spent their time travelling and finding treasures at the flea market.
Al made a living, working at the McLouth Steel Plant in Trenton. He first started in 1969 as a Supervisor and continued working for 28 years before their doors closed in 1997. Afterwards he spent the next 12 years at Dundee Products, where he medically retired in 2009. In his free time, he would go out to his garage and tinker on his bike and cars. He was known for loving any chrome work. Al will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Beloved husband of Sandy Massingo. Loving father of Brian (Jacqueline) Massingo. Dearest grandfather of Dillinger Massingo and Chelsea Massingo. Great grandfather of Blake, Eden, Dillinger Jr., Grayson, Lily, and Ryland. Dear brother of Joe Massingo and Debra (Floyd) Lyons.
In addition to his parents, Albert Sr.and Helen Massingo, Al was preceded in death by son: William “Eden” Massingo; and brother: Daniel Massingo.
