Aimee L. (Nussbaum) Meyers

Aimee Laure Meyers 

March 21, 1934 – November 1, 2024 

Aimee Laure Meyers, age 90 of Monroe, passed away at 8:18 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Monroe Springs Rehab and Nursing Center. She had been in declining health for the past year. 

Born on March 21,1934 in Saverne, France. After attending school in France, she met and married James A. Meyers in 1965. The two started their family and later migrated to the United States with their children in 1966.  Sadly, James preceded her in death on May 28, 1974. A lifelong homemaker, Aimee cherished time spent keeping her home and raising her children. 

Aimee enjoyed helping others and volunteering at the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging. Along with volunteering, you could often find her completing a puzzle at the center. She was also an avid fan of Elvis Presley and loved listening to his music. 

To cherish her memory, Aimee leaves four children: Chris (Angela) Nussbaum, Frank (Sheila) Nussbaum, Willie (Darlene) Meyers, and Michelle Meyers, all of Monroe; eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband, Aimee was preceded in death by her parents, and four siblings. 

In accordance with her wish's cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until services celebrating her life begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Rupp Funeral Home, 2345 S. Custer Road, Monroe, MI 48161.
