William C. Taylor, 70 of Monroe died at 5:24 p.m. Thursday at Mercy Memorial Hospital, Monroe. He had been in poor health since 1992.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Rupp Funeral Home where the Monroe Lodge #27 Free & Accepted Masons will conduct services at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Lawrence Detruf, pastor of the First Church of God officiating, military honors will be provided by the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills, Michigan.
Born April 29, 1939 in Detroit he was the son of Alfred and Violet (Caddy) Taylor. He married Patricia Everette. He later married Jacqueline A. Williamson on March 22, 1980 in Dearborn, Michigan.
He was employed by the Ford Motor Company, Dearborn Engineering retiring in 1992.
A US Navy veteran, he served from February 21, 1958 to February 20, 1964. He was also a member of the Dearborn Lodge # 172 Free &Accepted Masons, Monroe Rifle and Pistol Club and the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife Jacqueline of Monroe; daughter Joan (Dick) Myers of Berkley Springs, West Virginia; son Alan (Tricia) Kinnell of Yuma, Arizona; grandchildren Catherine Myers, Ryan, Casey and Samantha Kinnell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Edward Taylor.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe County Humane Society.

    I grew up with Bill in Dearborn, Mich. I would to make contact with a member of Bill’s family. I can provide a picture of Bill and an oral history of my relationship (friendship) with Bill.
