The historian of the Allen/Nunn family. I cannot count the number of times I have been mesmerized by her telling of family stories. She preached that you should always put your best foot forward and I never saw anything less from her. Always brightened my day to just be around her and I wish it could have been more often. I will miss her dearly.

Even in her last days Aunt Una’s quick wit and sunny disposition were always shining through. Every time I saw her I would ask how she was doing , her response was always the same, ” I’m here” , See you later Alligator .. was always her parting words. followed by a hurry back soon. Aunt Una had a strong love for her Family and even through difficult times and trials with family she still loved and cared for them unconditionally. At times she may have forgot where she was and who she was with but she never forgot her family. You were a great woman Aunt Una and will be sadly missed by those who knew you.

Aunt Una, with a vivacious spirit and wit, gave us many beautiful memories. She was a role model with her grace and beauty, and she could always bring joy with her smiles and laughter. We always looked forward to visits from her and Uncle Bob. We can never go back in time, but we will always remember the beautiful Allen women: Jimmie, Mollie,
Emma, and Una. They gave us a lot of love and kindness. Una is the last of them to go, and that makes this time especially sad. She and her loving sisters will never be forgotten.

    Love to All,
    Faye, Cig, and Family

Just found out that Una has gone on to greater things. So sad and sorry to hear this. I have known Una for 76 years. She and Bob were among my parents (Linwood & Dorothy Spain) best friends. Bob and Una even babysat me in the earlier years. Bob even drove me to the church when I got married (the first time LOl) in 1959. Have always kept intouch until the last couple of years. Loved her to death. One of the sweetest ladies you will ever know. Prayers to the family. Barbara Spain Clendenin in Newport News, Virginia
