I have so many memories of Mrs. Jones as a teacher in kindergarten at the old Hurd Road (even 30+ years later). She instilled in me so many values (that I still carry to this day). It was a horrible day when the light went out on Mr. Jones a few years ago, and now again a dark day. Know that the sun will shine again and that they are together in the kingdom of heaven. I have my deepest condolences for the Jones children, your parents left a lasting legacy on all of the children that they nurtured and taught. Have comfort in knowing that your parents touched so many lives in a good way, and their legacy lives on in all of us. She will be sadly missed by all.

Mrs. Jones was not only a great teacher but a great friend too. Our family will miss her dearly. She helped us so often at the Relay for Life of Monroe and taught me so much. I will forever be grateful for her kindness and wisdom. So sorry for your loss Bryan and Christopher. You were truly blessed with great parents. God Bless.

Chris and Bryan: You had such great Parents! Both of my children had your Mother and then my son had your Father. Nancy always had a warm smile and a cheerful hello whenever I would see her out and about. She will be deeply missed by anyone who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this trying time. You now have one more Angel to watch over you!

  • Our hearts are broken with the passing of Nancy. She always kept a positive attitude and only wanted to enjoy her precious time with each of her three children: Christopher, Abby and Bryan. She regarded Abby as her own child and had such pride in being able to say that. My children’s lives have been changed by knowing the entire Jones Family and having had both Larry and Nancy as teachers and as friends. Our lives are better for having known Larry and Nancy. The world is a little darker place now that they have passed.
