Margaret T. “Marge” Nussbaum

NussbaumMargaret T. “Marge” Nussbaum, age 74 of Monroe, died Sunday morning at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. She had been in declining health for six months.

Family and friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Louis Lapeyre, Associate Pastor at St. Mary Catholic Church will officiate.

Born March 11, 1943 in Detroit, Marge was the daughter of the late Glen and Elizabeth (Maloney) Barnstable. She married Christian C. Nussbaum on December 29, 2009 in Monroe.

Marge was a member of the Monroe Center for Healthy Aging where she was a former Volunteer Coordinator. She was also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Children volunteer. Marge enjoyed motorcycling and deer hunting with her husband Chris.

Marge is survived by her husband; three children, Robert (Elizabeth) Carbray of San Diego, California, Dawn (Bret) Young of Harrison, and Kelly Falk of Garden City; three step-children, Christian (Sara Clifton-Rowe) Nussbaum of Toledo, Eric (Raquel) Nussbaum of Woodhaven, and Kelsey (Darius Carter) Nussbaum of Monroe; two sisters, Mary (Glen) Toy of Garden City and Elizabeth (William) Nogle of South Lyon; mother-in-law, Aimee Meyers of Monroe; 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marge was also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

    We shared a lot of memories my sister Maggie and I. I can not put into words how much I miss her. She lived lift with so much zest and she was always there when you needed her. Life will never be the same with out hearing hearing her voice telling stories that always made you laugh and seeing her face with a smile on it . We always said I LOVE YOU. There once was eight of us and now there is only two of us , my sister Betty and myself and we are going to stay close to each other, for now we really know how short life is. She loved and was loved in return, by many including her husband Chris and her children Bobby,, Dawn & Kelly. I miss you so much Maggie and losing you has left a big hole in my heart . For my children Susie, Tom, Hope, Tammy and Fred, you will always be their ‘AUNT MARGIE” who they shared a lot of good times and many memories. You suffered much the last few months. so rest now my sister , you are with God now and our family Love you and miss you, SISTA MARY
