HaynesLarry G. “Smoothe” Haynes, age 57 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 10th at 7:13 p.m. in his home.

Born May 7, 1960 in Monroe, Larry was the son of the late James and Evelyn (Latham) Haynes. He attended Monroe Public Schools and married Sandra K. Trabbic on March 15, 1986 in Monroe.

Larry took a medical retirement a couple years ago after working as a boiler operator for many years for Monroe Paper Company. He loved riding his Harley, especially up north, and was a member of A.B.A.T.E. of Michigan. He also enjoyed hangin-out with his friends and tinkering in his garage.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sandy, and two brothers, James (Trish) Haynes and Terry (Denise) Haynes.

In keeping with his wishes, no visitation or services are planned. Rupp Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Devoted Barn, 6227 N. Dixie Hwy., Newport, MI 48166.

    Oh Larry….you will be so missed. You were loved very much. You were a great friend to Kyle. You saved Kyle many times….who will look after him now? Kyle misses you very much, as I do too….. We will always cherish the memories we have of you., especially when you met Kyle the second time, and saved him. You were definitely a Savior, and now, you are an Angel….Love you always….
