Friends may call from 3 – 8 p.m. Saturday in the Rupp Funeral Home where services will be at 7 p.m.  Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate.  Military honors will be provided by Monroe Post 1138 Veteran’s of Foreign Wars.  Cremation will follow with burial at Bedford Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Born October 4, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Hod and Lawanda (Emerick) Gill.  He married Rhonda A. McKelvey on December 10, 1983 in Monroe.

#6 Rolland D Barrett,Monroe 2012-02-15 14:35 I am saddened to hear of David's death. I send my condolences to the family. The Scriptures aptly describe death as "an enemy"(1 Cor.15:26). I knew his family over forty years ago when I lived in Temperance. May you find comfort in knowing that some day"death will be no more"(Rev.21:4) Quote
