#11 Randy Richeson 2012-02-03 02:04 We (Richele, Elisa and I) were so fortunate to have such a kind and caring aunt to be such a positive influence on our young lives in the 70's. Her calming laugh coupled with her no nonsense advice occasionally provides comfort as I remember those days even now as I enter my 50s. God bless you Vernon, Mark and family in this time of loss. #12 Elisa Palich 2012-02-03 04:46 The sudden news came to us with great sadness as we learned of the passing of our dad's "other half". Our Aunt Wanda will always hold fond memories for all of us who loved her and were privileged to be a part of her life. Our thoughts and prayers are with Vernon, Mark and family as they experience the huge loss of such a wonderful lady. Quote

#13 Dan and Carol Hartong 2012-02-03 04:51 My dear friend, Wanda, has been a great example to me. Her quiet, gentle leadership qualities sustained our United Methodist Women! Her life certainly reflects the "Fruit of the Spirit": love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I will truly miss her! Our prayers are with you, Vern, Mark, Wendy and family, and Mary. Quote

#14 julie raines mason 2012-02-03 07:16 I had Mrs. Barton for my 3rd grade teacher. She was the nicest teacher at Custer. Well after I had graduated I would see her out at various places, she would always remember who I was. I will miss her. Quote

#16 Adel Ivey 2012-02-05 10:56 Wanda and I sang in the soprano section of St. Paul's UMC Chancel choir. I have always admired her. She was a wonderful Christian lady. Even when she had plenty of reason, I never heard her complain. She is singing in God's heavenly choir, now. We will miss her very much! Vern, Mark, Wendy, Collin and Brianna, please know that you are all in my prayers. Quote

#17 Hollie Bert 2012-02-05 15:32 I like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Barton and Richeson families.

Mrs. Barton was my Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade teacher. She was a wonderful and loving teacher who made school a lot of fun. I remember the stories she read to our class with all the students enthralled.

It's been 30 years since she was much teacher and she still kept in touch throughout the years. She was a special lady and she will be missed.
