Ruth Ann Buford, age 50 of Temperance, died 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in her home.  She had been ill for 3 ½ years and under the care of Arbor Hospice for the past 2 months. 

Born November 21, 1961 in Monroe, she was the daughter of Richard and Norma (Pacer) Bolster.  She married Jeffery A. Buford on June 19, 1992 in Monroe.

Ruth was a 1979 graduate of Monroe High School and graduated Cum Laude from Monroe County Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Commerce and formerly employed in their Learning Assistance Lab.

Ruth enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Jeff; three children, Jessica, Steven, and Julie who all live at home; mother, Norma Bolster of Monroe; four brothers, Ronald Bolster of Monroe, Larry (Norma) Bolster of Riverside, California, John (Elaine) Bolster of Monroe, and Carl (Andrea) Bolster of Monroe; two sisters, Elaine Ionescu of Westland, and Eva (Chris) Weatherholt of Ida.

Ruth was preceded in death by her father and a brother, James Bolster.

Ruth was a very generous and caring individual.  She made preliminary arrangements for her body to be donated to the University of Michigan for anatomical study so that others may learn or benefit from her illness.

Friends and relatives may visit the Buford family on Sunday, February 5^th at 1 p.m. at the Bedford Alliance Church, 8645 Jackman Rd. in Temperance where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.  Rev. Robert Hinz, Senior Pastor, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Buford family.
