#31 Joan Geiermann Naab 2012-01-20 07:21 Dearest Susan Hammond and the entire Roalant Family,

A few years back I sat next to your mom at a funeral. When she saw me her face light up and she gave me a Marian Roalant hug. As I read about her passing her hug came back to me. Your mother had a God given gift of being able to express love.
She expressed it with her hugs, her gaze, her volunteer work and her baking. I can't think of a person who could express love as freely as Mother Roalant. May God bless you all and hold you in the palm of his hand. And Susie I miss seeing you, life long St. Charles classmates are a treasure. God Bless you all. Heaven just became even more filled with love. Joan Geiermann Naab, Chelsea, MI

#32 Paul and Esther Baxendale 2012-01-20 11:18 We were headed out of the country when word came to us. We are the in-law parents of Len, Marian's youngest son. From the day our daughter, Joy, became a Roelant (and even before), we were welcomed into their family. We watched the wonderful way Marian loved everyone who walked through her life. Of all the people in the world that I admire highly, she is way up on top of the list. She truly walked in love of her God and love to her fellow man. She was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I have never been hugged the way she hugged. To all your family and your dearly beloved husband, we extend our sorrow as I know you will miss her so much. We rejoice with you that she is truly in a better place. What a special woman!!!! #33 Rich and Teresa Ackerman 2012-01-21 00:31 So sorry to hear of Marian's passing. Sending out prayers for the entire family. We love you all and Marian always made us feel loved and welcome. She celebrated a beautiful life and I'm sure she's celebrating with Jesus, Mary, Joseph and all the Saints in Heaven. I bet she's passing out a lot of those "Marian Bear Hugs" to a lot of Souls up there as we speak! May she always Rest in Peace and Intercede now, for each and every one of us. God Bless, Rich and Teresa Ackerman Quote

#34 Jan and Mike Dana 2012-01-21 07:07 Dear Tom, Debby, Sarah, and Rachel and the entire (huge!) Roelant family,
No one who ever met your mom/grandmother could ever forget her. Though we didn't often see her, we always, always felt just like family when we did. We see her love and faith in you, Tom, and in your entire family. We look forward to being with her in eternity, and pray for you all and Dad Roelant as you miss her, here on earth. Hugs!

#35 Sr. Rebecca Vonderhaar IHM 2012-01-21 08:27 To All the Family of Marian,
I am so sorry I could not be at the Mass of celebration of the life of a GREAT woman, wife, Mother, Grandmother … I have fond memories of teaching at St. Charles 1970-1976. The Roelants helped to create some of those wonderful memories. Marian often came to our back porch with a handfull of goodies for the Sisters. The family portions of homemade butter, freshly butchered meat, the man-size cookies etc. were just who the Roelants were: big hearted and generous. Know your family is much in my prayer as you mourn the death of this wonderful woman. May she rest in God's loving embrace, and may you know God's peace.
