Nancy L. Kregel

July 19, 1943 – August 3, 2012

Nancy Lee (Brown) Kregel of Monroe passed away Friday August 3rd at Magnum Care of Monroe. She had declining health for several years.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rupp Funeral Home.  She will lie instate at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with services at 11 a.m.  Rev. Ronald Schultz, pastor of the church, will officiate.  Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Monroe.

Born July 19, 1943 in Carleton Michigan she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Helen (Bair) Brown.  She attended Airport High School and married Vaughn Kregel on October 12, 1963.

Nancy had been very active in the community with the 4-H program, continuing education and local churches. She enjoyed crochet, tatting, sewing and several other crafts.

She is survived by her Husband Vaughn, three daughters, Christine (J.R. McKnight) Kregel, Rebecca (James) Busenbark and Heatherlee (Matthew) Traylor, six grandchildren, sister Ruth (Allen) Smith of Carleton and three brothers, Roy (Barb) Griffith, Les (Barb) Griffith and Marvin Brown all of Carleton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an older brother Andrew Griffith and younger brother Melvin Brown.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Mercy Memorial Hospice and Grace Lutheran Church.
