Wanda Mae Snavely, 59; of Monroe died Friday June 19, at her home. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 12 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born May 16, 1950 in Middlesboro, Kentucky she was the daughter of James L. and Pearlie (Massengill) Revels. She married Ronald E. Snavely on June 27, 1969 at the Mary Martha Chapel in Dearborn. She was employed by John Freud M.D. for many years, by and the Monroe County Community College as a computer lab tech, retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing piano and organ at many church functions around Monroe. She was a 1968 graduate of Jefferson High School and also was a graduate of Monroe County Community College. She served as a sign language interpreter and was a member of the Waterloo PTA. Surviving are her husband Ronald E. Snavely of Monroe; daughters Ronda R. (Rodney) Harper of Dundee and Chandra D. (Chad) Davidson of Monroe; sister Kathleen (Ronald) Wright of Biloxi, Mississippi and grandchildren Ethan Harper, Gavin Harper and Trent Harper. She was preceded in death by her parents.
