Pearlie Cavins December 14, 1920 – June 19, 2012 Pearlie Cavins, age 91 of Monroe, died in her home at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Friends may call from 3 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Rupp Funeral Home, Monroe, MI. Additional visitation will be on Friday with funeral services on Saturday at Reece Funeral Home, Harrogate, TN.  Burial will be at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Harrogate. Born December 14, 1920 in Harrogate, she was the daughter of Rev. John and Nealie (Frye) Dixon.  She married Orville Edward Cavins on January 28, 1944 in Middlesboro, KY.  He died September 24, 1989. Pearlie was a homemaker and member of Kentucky Park Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe.  She enjoyed quilting, singing at church, and caring for her home and yard. Pearlie is survived by a daughter, Betty (Kyle) Moore of Monroe; daughter-in-law Judith Cavins of Belleville; three sisters, Ada (Bill) Pierce of Monroe, Janette (Arnold) Stahr of Flat Rock, and Virginia (Rev. Neal) Baker of Harrogate, TN; three grandchildren, Deborah Cavins, Dontao Cavins, and Anthony Cavins; two great-grandchildren, Derick Cavins Moore and Danika Cavins Mason. In addition to her husband Orville, Pearlie is preceded in death by a son Jimmie Cavins; two brothers, Shelby and Tom Leonard; four sisters, Effie Hatfield, Minnie Daniels, Bessie Massingill, and Maudie Cavins.
