John George Blessing, 70; of LaSalle died Wednesday at his home.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday May 21, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park LaSalle.
Born September 4, 1938 in Monroe he was the son of Harold and Thelma (Yaeger) Blessing.
He was a 1956 graduate of Summerfield High School and played football and basketball.
He was employed at Monroe Paper Products, Ford Motor Co.,Guardian Glass and Midway Products.
Surviving are his siblings Joan (Orton) “Blessing” Ryan of Toledo; Lyle (Karen) Blessing of Peoria, Arizona and Mary Jo “Blessing” Bernard of San Jose, California; three nieces, four nephews, three great nieces and two great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Harry, John W. and Lynn C. Blessing.
