Frederick F. Bondy, 80, of Monroe, died at 5:15 a.m. Monday at the Lutheran Home. He had been in poor health since October. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rupp Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. He will lie instate at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Michael’s Church with services at 10 a.m. The Rev. Dan Complo will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe, with military honors conducted by V.F.W. Post 1138, Monroe. Born September 13, 1928 in River Rouge, he was the son of Edward G. and Beatrice (Barron) Bondy. He married Mary Lou Gentner June 30, 1951 at St. Michael’s Church. She preceded him in death October 28, 1998. He was a meat cutter for Micka’s Market, Danny’s Fine Foods and Foodtown Stores, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Michael’s Church, the former Holy Name Society and had been a past usher, Knights of Columbus 1266, Monroe, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 884, Fraternal Order of the Eagles 2254 and V.F.W. Post 1138. He is survived by two sons, Gary T. (Diane) Bondy of Monroe, Richard F. (Kathleen A.) Bondy of Monroe; two daughters, Kathleen A. (William) Gallaway of New Boston, Barbara A. (Steve) Latondress of Monroe; six grandchildren, David Bondy, Emily Bondy, Michelle Gallaway, Steve Gallaway, Jennifer Latondress and Kevin Latondress. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Edward E. and Joseph Bondy. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Church or Lutheran Home.
