Virginia A. Mehregan, 72, of Monroe, died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday at University Hospitals, Ann Arbor. She had been in poor health since December. Friends may call from 12 noon until services at 5 p.m. Sunday at Rupp Funeral Home. The Rev Ronald Schultz, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. Born December 14, 1936 in Wausau, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Albert and Ida (Banik) Sahr. She married Amir H. Mehregan November 11, 1959 in Madison, Wisconsin; he preceded her in death September 2, 2000. She then married David Olson May 29, 2004 in Monroe; he preceded her in death on November 7, 2008. At one time, she was a registered nurse for the Wisconsin National Guard. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Sawyer House, board member of Family Counseling and Shelter Services and past-president of Michigan State Medical Auxiliary. She is survived by three sons, Dr. David A. (Susan) Mehregan of Monroe, Dr. Darius R. (Rebecca) Mehregan of Monroe, Robert H. (Rebecca) Mehregan of East Bethel, Minnesota; a daughter, Suzanne M. (James) Altiere of Monroe; a sister, Margaret Olson of Minocqua, Wisconsin and thirteen grandchildren. In addition to her two husbands she is preceded in death by a sister Mary Prigge.
