Perkey1Frances E. “Tiny” Perkey, age 61 of Monroe, passed away at 5:49 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.

Family and friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Rupp Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Harold Raines, pastor of Monroe Full Gospel Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.

Born June 9, 1956 in Monroe, she was the daughter of Von and Frances (Tyra) Monday. Tiny was a 1974 graduate of Monroe High School and married Michael R. Perkey on December 8, 1987 in Monroe. She was retired from Laborers Local 334, Detroit.

Tiny was a life member of VFW Post 1138 Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan Football. She enjoyed flower gardening, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and adored the Christmas season, especially the decorating and shopping.

Tiny is survived by her husband, Mike of Monroe; son, Paul (Alisha) Perkey of Monroe; her parents, Von and Frances Monday of Monroe; step-son, Michael (Mandi) Perkey, II of Monroe; three sisters, Annie Oliver of Naperville, Illinois, Dawn (Jon) Matteson of Monroe, and Teri Monday of Monroe; two step-grandchildren, Mallory and Madden Perkey; and one soon to arrive grandchild.

Tiny was preceded in death by a brother, John Page, and a son, William Von “Billy” Perkey who recently was killed in an auto accident on April 28th.
