Enedelia Maria Moran

August 27, 1930 – March 20, 2014

 

    MoranEnedelia Maria Moran, age 83 of Ypsilanti, formerly of Monroe, died Thursday, March 20th at Bortz Nursing Home.  Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes.

    A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Winesses (5301 Albain Rd., Monroe 48161) at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29th.  Keith Bergmooser will officiate.

    Born August 27, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas, she was the daughter of Francisco and Ofelia (Perales) Garza.  Maria married Ricardo Moran on March 28, 1954 in Laredo, Texas.  Shortly after, they moved to Tecumseh in 1954 and later moved to Monroe in 1972.

    Maria was a self-employed seamstress and a member of the Monroe Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

    Maria is survived by: two sons, Ricardo (Lisa) Moran, Jr. of Petersburg and Samuel Moran of Ann Arbor; four daughters, Eunice (Daniel) Relly of Ann Arbor, Leah Mitchell of Livonia, Raquel (Kevin) Jones of Ypsilanti, and Dinah (Paul) Young of Ypsilanti; four brothers, Roberto Garza of Victorville, California, Homero Garza of Santa Paula, California, Miguel Garza of Aurora, Oregon, and Jorge Garza of California; one sister, Esperanza Torres of Tecumseh; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

    Maria was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Antonio Garza, and a grandson, Craig Moran.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
